Basic Guitar Technique

You have to know about this basic guitar technique:

Slide:
The first note is struck and then the frethand moves to the location of the second pitch on the same string using the same finger.

Pull-Off:
The first note is struck and the second that not far away from the first and still on the same string, is sounds without picking. [The frethand pulls the string to sounding the second note]

Vibrato:
The string is vibrated by rapidly bending and releasing a note with the frethand

Hammer-on:
The first string note is struck and then the other string note that not far away from the first is fretted on the same string in a continuous motion. Two fingers are involved

Wrist Mute:
The string is dampened by the pressure of the plucking hand at the wrist, producing a percussive effect

Choke:
(mute) The string is dampened by the frethand finger(s) to produce a toneless percussive effect

Harmonic:
The frethand lightly touches the string over a designated fret, and then is pluck producing a chime-like effect

Octave:
Tone(s) is to be played one octave higher than the written note(s)
