All guitar players should know about Triad, because Triad is the basic tones forming a chord.
Basic triad consists of three tones.
For example: Basic triad consists of three tones.
E tone, G # tone and tone of B , creating a basic chord, referred to as E or E Major
Another example:C tone, E tone and tone of G , creating a basic chord, referred to as C or C Major
